Organizational Assessments & Efficiency Studies

Completed an efficiency assessment at the Department of Correction Controllers Office to identify and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency of operations through automation of Controllers Office functions. Resulted in recommendations that will save between $4 million and $28 million in hard dollar savings and between $4 million and $9 million in labor savings.

Conducted organizational assessment of the State of North Carolina’s Information Systems Audit function. Did risk assessment and made recommendations for target audit focus and staffing levels. Resulting plan was proposed by the State Auditor to the NC Joint Select Steering Committee.

Conducted an assessment of Information Technology Services contracts and software license agreements to identify opportunities to consolidate contracts and eliminate software licenses. Resulting recommendations saved the state more than $6M in first year.
